There are a few things I believe in when turning a space into a home ... you should always have fresh flowers, remember to share it with those you love best, and commit to pulling something warm out of the oven at least once a week.
Keeping in that tradition, I have decided to post my successes and failures here. The recipes I'll be using are mostly from family, therefore a mixture of southern/midwestern/eastern-European cooking. Every now and then, I'll find an intriguing cookbook (usually at Anthropologie) and post my recreations on here as well. After all, baking doesn't just fill your tummy. It fills your soul.
